A reading journal that writes itself while you read
Readaily works as a reading journal and book log on iPhone and Android. Every session is saved with the date, minutes and pages, and you can add a short note and how you felt; over time that becomes a calendar of your reading, a record of every book you finished, and a yearly recap.
Paper reading journals are lovely for about three weeks. Then life gets busy, the journal stays on the shelf, and the record stops. Readaily keeps the record for you, because the record is a by-product of reading.
What goes into the journal automatically
Every reading session saves:
- the date and time you read,
- how long you read,
- the pages (or minutes, for audiobooks) you covered,
- the book and how far into it you are.
Nothing to write down. Start the timer, read, type the page.
What you can add when you feel like it
- A note about the session: a line you liked, a thought, a question for your book club.
- How you felt before and after reading, and where you read.
- A rating and review when you finish, with half stars.
Your notes resurface on the book’s page as your own highlights, so the thoughts you had in chapter 4 are there when you finish.
Looking back
- The month as a calendar, with each reading day marked and your streaks visible.
- Every book you finished, with the dates you started and finished.
- Your year in one card, ready to share.
Private by default
Sessions, notes and moods are private. Your profile, your reviews and the activity you choose to share are visible to other Readaily readers; everything else stays yours.
Questions
What is the difference between a reading journal and a reading tracker?
A tracker counts; a journal remembers. Readaily does both from the same sessions: the numbers come for free, and the notes are there when you want to write one.
Are my reading notes private?
Yes. Session notes, moods and reading times are private. Only what you choose to share, such as a public review or a post in your club, is visible to others.
Can I rate and review books?
Yes, with half-star ratings. Reviews are public on your profile, so write them when you want others to read them.
Can I look back at a month or a year?
Yes. The history shows a calendar of reading days for each month, and you can share a recap card of your year.
Try it with the book you’re reading
