Features · Daily goal & streak
A daily reading goal you'll keep, and a streak that doesn't scold
In Readaily you set a small daily reading goal, in minutes or pages, and a reminder at the time that suits you. Each day you meet it, your reading streak grows; if you miss a day, it resets quietly and tomorrow starts fresh, without guilt-trip notifications.
Habits are built on small, repeatable actions. A yearly goal of “read 30 books” is a destination; a daily goal of “15 minutes” is the road. Readaily is built around the road.
Pick a goal that survives a bad day
The best daily reading goal is the one you can still meet on your busiest day. Readaily lets you set it in minutes (good for audiobooks and for days you read slowly) or pages. You can change it whenever life changes, and Readaily can suggest one from what you have actually been reading.
How much does a small goal add up to?
At the median pace measured in Readaily (about 28 pages an hour, October 2026):
| Daily goal | Pages a year | Roughly |
|---|---|---|
| 10 minutes | ~1,700 | 5–7 novels |
| 15 minutes | ~2,500 | 8–10 novels |
| 30 minutes | ~5,100 | 16–20 novels |
“Novels” here assumes 250 to 320 pages. Your pace and your books will move these numbers, but the shape holds: a little every day beats a lot once in a while. Starting from a yearly target instead? The reading goal calculator turns it into pages and minutes a day.
A streak that encourages, never scolds
Each day you meet your goal adds a day to your streak, and your week fills in on the home screen. If you miss a day, the streak resets quietly. There is no countdown, no red badge, and no stream of “don’t lose your streak!” notifications. The streak is there to show you the habit forming, not to punish you for having a life.
Reminders at your time
Choose when you’d like a nudge, for example after dinner or on the train home, and Readaily sends one gentle reminder at that time. If you have already met your goal that day, it doesn’t ask you to read. You can turn reminders off at any time.
On your wrist and your home screen
Your progress for the day shows in home screen widgets on iPhone and Android, on the iPhone Lock Screen, and on the Apple Watch, so you can see how close you are without opening the app.
Questions
What is a good daily reading goal?
One you can meet on a busy day. Many readers start with 10 to 15 minutes. At the median Readaily pace of about 28 pages an hour, 15 minutes a day is roughly 2,500 pages a year, or 8 to 10 average novels.
What happens if I miss a day?
Your streak resets and the next day starts fresh. You see a short note, not a warning, and there are no repeated guilt-trip notifications.
Can I change my goal?
